Dear Chapter Leaders,
The Mara Mogensen Flaherty Memorial Lectureship has been a tradition of the Oncology Nursing Foundation and the Oncology Nursing Society for nearly four decades. The very first lecture was presented at the ONS Congress in 1982, and continues to be a much-anticipated event each year by our nursing community.
We are pleased to offer this year’s 2020 Mara Mogensen Flaherty Memorial Lectureship by Zoom Webinar during Oncology Nursing Month, and at a time when the need for support of nurse resiliency and self-care is critical. Join us for this inspiring lecture as Susan Childress MN RN discusses the importance of self-care and explores ways that you can be more resilient during stressful times. Susan is the former Director of Nursing at Huntsman Cancer Center. She has done significant work in nurse resilience and is a champion of making it a priority in the workplace. The Mara Mogensen Flaherty Memorial Lectureship is an annual award program of the Oncology Nursing Foundation recognizing a leading voice in managing the psychosocial aspects of cancer.
